What does "Secondary use" mean under the EHDS?

The processing of electronic health data for the purposes set out in Chapter IV of this Regulation, other than the initial purposes for which they were collected or produced

  • European Health Data Space (EHDS)

    The European Health Data Space Regulation is Regulation (EU) 2025/327. It applies from 26 March 2027, with patients' rights and EHR system rules from 26 March 2029 and 2031. The Netherlands plans a new Gezondheidsdata-autoriteit through the draft Wet GIS.
